Since their first full-length album, Old World Underground, Where Are You Now? (2003), Canadian New Wave/Rock band Metric’s music has earned both Juno and Polaris Music Prize nominations and ended up in TV episodes of Grey’s Anatomy and CSI: Miami. A Positive Rage is a double disc package featuring a documentary on DVD and the Hold Steady’s first-ever live album! A Positive Rage captures the excitement and high spirits of both the band and their fans in the days surrounding the release of their third full-length, Boys and Girls in America, and ensuing world tour in 2006.

The live CD was recorded on October 31, 2007 and includes 17 songs that the band performed at the Metro in Chicago, while the DVD contains a 53-minute documentary that begins with The Hold Steady’s first ever London performances.
