Yes, you read that correctly. The following video contains video footage of Chris Daughtry performing an acoustic version of Lady GaGa‘s smash pop-hit “Poker Face”;
Daughtry was a contestant on Season 5 of American Idol and made it to the final four but was eliminated. The eventual winner was Taylor Hicks but many considered Daughtry to be the better contestant with one online fan going so far as to say that Daughtry is the best American Idol ever.
The song was part of a live-to-air performance by Daughtry on a German radio station. It’s certainly a fantastic version and actually makes the song that much better.
