The announcement was made this morning, so fans of Marilyn Manson here in Calgary can finally stop dreaming or planning road trips. The Anti-Christ Superstar is schedule to play here on September 10th at the Jubilee Auditorium of all places!
You may recall that Manson was scheduled to perform in Calgary in 1997 at the Max Bell Centre but the owner canceled the show because of Manson’s “immorality” and “use of animals on stage”.
Tickets for the concert go on sale Friday, July 24th, 2009 at 10:00 hrs Mountain Time but pre-sales are scheduled to begin July 22nd (Live Nation) and July 23rd (x92.9). Marilyn Manson will also be playing at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, MB on September 13th with the same sale times. Stay tuned for your pre-sale password and more tour information if it’s announced.

Jubilee Auditorium wtf, can’t he fill an arena anymore? Granted, the last two albums were brutal, made me want to put a corkscrew in my ears.
I’m still going though!
The Jube is a WAAAAAAYYYYYY better venue than any arena could ever be…especially in Calgary.
Jube will be sick and the newst album rocks. Long live Manson.
Al, MM always (ok not always but) 90% of the time he plays orcastra theaters… finds them to have better sound and be more intimate… also hes not huge fan of the bangin mosh pits and all seating fixes that in a hurry.. lol… I saw him 5 years ago in Van. at the Orphion Opera House & it was UNREAL!!!
Well, I would change my comment to say the last two albums were not quite in line with his norm….not to say he isn’t allowed to have a change of stream in his music writing. But, so many…uh….ballad type songs. I gave the new album several listen’s and just couldn’t get into it.
No doubt Jubilee has acoustic dominance over something like the saddledome, it was built for just that purpose. Just a personal preferance to be in general admission for a show such as this.
Well, we’ll find out tonight how good the show is at the Jube…
