Forget “Thriller” and “Monster Mash”, Priestess is the way to rock your Halloween party this year. People are sick of zombies and Michael Jackson so bring in Canadian rockers to introduce a little head banging to your costumed bash. Hard and fast, Prior to the Fire will kick your ass from start to finish.
Mikey Heppner, Mike Dyball, Vince Nudo and Dan Watchorn of Priestess follow up their debut album with the same Guitar Hero worthy tracks as Hello Master (song “Lay Down” was a massive success and found it’s way onto Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock). The disc begins with “Lady Killer”, a heavy hitting head splitter that sets the tone for the rest of the album, and ends with “Trapped in Space & Time”, a powerhouse rock track with a Metallica-esque introduction. Every track is guitar driven, metal infused, and infectious.
There is nothing soft or dainty about these Montreal rockers. The track “Communicating Via Eyes” may mislead you with a tranquil beginning, but soon rips open your eardrums with thumping drums, growling guitar, and hard rock vocals. “Raccoon Eyes”, the first single released from Prior to the Fire, is burning up the airwaves and dominating all other hard rock singles on mainstream radio. This is a hard rock/metal album screaming to be heard live!

Ordering guitar hero has been among the finest things I have carried out, merely want the kids would allowed me to play!
