I have to admit that although I absolutely love Puscifer’s “V” is for Vagina album, when this song featuring the vocals of actress Milla Jovovich came out I was not that impressed at all. It has grown on me yet it cannot touch the majority of ten tracks on their debut album and of course, constant airplay has just about rendered the track annoying as fuck. But it’s still worth of attention and admiration if not for the simple fact that part of a project involving Maynard James Keenan (of Tool and A Perfect Circle fame).
Now that there’s a video for the song, it kinda warrants a fresh listen with a new, unique, bizarre outlook;
That is a cowboy-decked, fuzzy-chaps, roller-blade dancing MJK, is it not? It’s an interesting concept and the visual techniques make you take notices. It was put together by Meats Meier (who’s provided graphics for both of Keenan’s other bands).
There’s still more to come from Puscifer though. They recently released “Holiday on the Moon” which appears on New Tales to Tell: A Tribute to Love and Rockets (and apparently I don’t like Love and Rockets much because again, I’m not a fan of this song at all). Then on November 10th, they will release (digitally only) “C” is for (Please Insert Sophmoric Genitalia Reference HERE), a six song EP.
The group are currently on tour through the (mostly) Western portion of the U.S. with one Canadian date in Vancouver on November 13th at the Centre for Performing Arts.
