Vancouver’s You Say Party! We Say Die have just announced a North American tour in support of their new album, XXXX which comes out on February 9th, 2010. A couple of the dates, in their hometown, should prove to be of such great significance that 2010 could prove to be a good year for the five-some.

Although the tour doesn’t really take full swing until March, the group do have a handful of dates in B.C. starting with a show in Nelson on January 15th and in Kamploops on January 21st. It’s the following two dates that are really high profile though. On the 22nd, YSP!WSD! will be opening for Phoenix at the Orpheum in their hometown while on the 27th, they are playing an Olympic show in Surrey with Tokyo Police Club and Wintersleep. Not too shabby!

They then start the U.S. leg of the tour on March 9th in Seattle that will eventually take them down the West coast, through Texas for three SXSW shows in Austin before heading to the Eastern seaboard (including two dates in New York) and wrapping up in Chicago on March 31st.

XXXX is their third full-length album and was produced by Howard Redekopp (Tegan & Sara, the New Pornographers). Click below to hear “Dark Days”.
