After over a year of recording, Winnipeg Hard Rock/Metal band Dryrun, has released their first full length album titled All Fear Aside, on May 29th.

Formed in the summer of 2007 Dryrun consists of Josh Pereira (Vocals), Cory Pereira (Guitar), Matt Bileski (Drums), Jeremy Jost (Guitar) and Calvin (Bass).

Though relatively new to the metal scene, the band has had the opportunity to play with a number of local Winnipeg acts, as well as many touring bands passing through the city.

Dryrun’s energetic stage show and dedication have set them apart from others in the genre.  With a mix that sounds like the best of Bullet For My Valentine, Finger Eleven and Godsmack, this is sure to be only the beginning for the band.

Dryrun puts just as much emphasis into their marketing as they do their music and it shows with the release of All Fear Aside.

The album is very well done, with songs that are catchy but at the same time shows the bands skills and talent.  Songs you don’t want to miss include “Deceit”, “Stand Tall” and my personal favourites “Run & Hide” and “Truth In Whispers”.

What can we expect from Dryrun in 2010?  The band hopes it to be their busiest year so far.  Along with the release of All Fear Aside, the band will be touring Eastern Canada to promote the album and concentrating on getting their name out there.

Follow Dryrun on their Facebook and Myspace pages.
